PR & Media Placement

Amanda Clayton, a new introductions agency, was being set up and required a full consultancy and marketing management approach.

The project consisted of research, logo design, corporate identity, website design and build, the creation of a series of adverts, PR and media placement.

As part of the media campaign, different applications needed to be considered.

After careful research of the industry as whole, two aspects were identified in terms of achieving both a high profile and attracting new memberships.

One was as a Traditional Correspondence service and the other as an Online Dating service.

Both areas of the business needed to be advertised in different ways, with a certain element of crossover.

After designing the logo and website, I set up a very successful online advertising campaign to target new members together with press coverage, in terms of adverts and editorials. This brought in high numbers of new memberships for both areas of the business.

The success of the campaign also led the website to become one of the top listed agencies on the Google and Yahoo search engines.

Internet dating is an extremely competitive industry with many hundreds of companies already out there, having been established for a number of years.

The marketing was set up in a way that it is not typical for its industry, especially the online service. This was because there is such a large degree of competition.

I designed the logo and web pages to look so different from the usual images you would expect to see on dating agency web pages and adverts. This has allowed it to literally stand out from the crowd.
